  • 2 1/2 cups (whole wheat) flour
  • 1 cup kefir
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 eggs
  • 2-4 tbsp. maple syrup (optional)
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • oil for baking

Instructions

  • Mix the flour in a container with kefir and water, cover loosely and leave out at room temperature for 12-24h.
  • Whisk together the eggs, maple syrup, melted butter and salt until the mixture is slightly fluffy.
  • Then add the baking soda and the fermented flour.
  • Bake the waffles in an oiled waffle iron.
